The project aims to increase young people's political education and involvement in decision-making processes by raising young people's awareness of democratic processes and opportunities for participation.

ABOUT PROJECT
Latvijā ir novērojama ļoti pasīva iesaiste politiskajos procesos jauniešu vidū, ko izraisa tādi faktori, kā neizpratne par politiskajiem procesiem, uzskats, ka viņu balsīm nav ietekme, neuzticība politiskajām partijām, kuras neakcentē tiem svarīgas tēmas, kā arī bieži vien to ieteikumus neuztver nopietni. Lai sasniegtu projekta mērķi, tiks īstenota informatīva un izglītojoša kampaņa, kas veicinās jauniešu aktivitāti un izpratni par politiskajiem procesiem, kā arī nodrošinās jauniešu interešu aizstāvību valsts institūciju līmenī.
Together with more than 100 participants and experts in various fields, we discussed and tried to find out whether a young person has a place in politics. A study on political education in schools was presented during the conference.
PROJECT GOAL
The project will not only increase youth participation in the upcoming 14th Saeima elections, but also promote sustainable political education and youth interest representation. It will reduce misunderstandings and stereotypes among young people that they are not able to influence the political processes in the country, raise awareness about them and create opportunities to engage in shaping democracy and decision-making.
